Embark on an unforgettable journey that commences in the enchanting medieval city of Carcassone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled near the Mediterranean Sea.
Your adventure culminates in the idyllic village of Collioure. While the early stages of this trip may prove physically demanding, they promise awe-inspiring experiences as you navigate through lush valleys and pristine landscapes. Your journey’s first essential stop brings you to Limoux, renowned for its exquisite bubbly white wine, Blanquette de Limoux. This delectable beverage, named after the town itself, is a perfect complement to a luscious chocolate dessert, offering your taste buds an unparalleled treat.

As you venture further, you’ll uncover the serene, yet paradoxically wild, beauty of the Hautes Corbières region. Here, breathtaking vistas unfold, adorned with charming villages cradled amidst vineyard rows and grandiose castles such as the Château de Queribus and Château de Peyrepertuse, which perch high upon the hills, dominating the Cathare countryside.

The final stages of your cycling expedition take you along a more leisurely path, leading you to the picturesque seaside, where you can relish the Cote Vermeille. Immerse yourself in the timeless allure of Collioure, a Catalan port ensconced within a tranquil creek, where the azure Mediterranean waters harmoniously meet the majestic Pyrenees Mountains. With its remarkable climate and guaranteed sunshine, Collioure stands as a one-of-a-kind destination, a source of Catalan culture and way of life.

Stone and sandy beaches, intimate coves, and crystalline waters beckon you to take a refreshing dip, offering the perfect conclusion to your unforgettable holiday. In this idyllic setting, you’ll find no better way to bid adieu to your remarkable journey.

Highlights of the tour:

  • Carcassone Castle and City UNESCO
  • The Pic de Bugarach
  • The Padern Castle on its rocky peak
  • Village of Tautavel where there is the European Centre of Prehistory
Day 1

Day 2
From Carcassonne to Couize / 52km - +920m
On your first day of cycling, you will travel south, through grapevines to the village of Limoux, renowned for its famous Blanquette (bubbly white wine). At this stop, you can taste it! Day 3
From Couiza to Cucugnan / 46km - +758m

Here you will see the famous Citadelles du Vertige, the Queribus, and Peyrepertuse Castles, deeply embedded in the epic Cathar history. The uphill challenges are well compensated by the breathtaking panoramic views. Accommodation: Auberge du Vigneron - Cucugnan Included: Luggage transfer, bedroom, breakfast, and dinner (no drinks)
Day 4
From Cucugnan to Thuir / 56km - +438m

Accommodation: Casa Pairal - Collioure Included: Luggage transfer, bedroom, and breakfast.
Day 6
Short Hike (or free day) to enjoy the beach / 9km - +356m
