Day 1
Arrival and Yerevan City Tour
Biking lovers, welcome to Armenia! On this day, we officially announce the start of the cycling tour around Armenia. After your arrival at Zvartnots International Airport, you will be transferred to Yerevan and checked into the hotel. On this day, surely no kind of biking is scheduled, so as not to overload ourselves, and enjoy the process as a whole. Instead, we will have a meeting with our cycling guide, and have a briefing of tour routes, in compliance with some instructions, information on the road condition, elevations, etc. Following a couple of hours of briefing, a free evening to enjoy the oldest city in the world is waiting for us. The capital is the burning spotlight of the country, where the best musicians, artists, and people are gathered to provide unforgettable memories to Yerevan visitors. A refreshing evening with a cool jazz performance would not bother us a lot. Accommodation: Hotel in Yerevan Breakfast: Not included
Day 2
Yerevan-Garni - Geghard - Yerevan / 60km
Our first day of biking trail is chosen deliberately to warm up our muscles and body, before challenging us with more difficult trails. The start will be from Charenc Arch, a monument, 27km away from Yerevan, where we will be transferred by car. The enormous monument gives a breathtaking view over Biblical Mount Ararat, by making the place a favourite tourist attraction. Starting from the Charents Arch, the 60km long cycling trail takes us to the ancient pagan temple of Garni. The latter is the only standing proof of Armenians' previous beliefs and faiths by providing remarkable historical data, and mesmerizing views over the gorges and highlands. After taking a break, our trial needs to be continued. Our next destination is the 4th-century Geghard Monastery - a partially rock-curved monastery, which will cut from the noise and is an admiring spot for a break. The monastery is the last destination for today. Our back will be in the same way by having the car following or leading us to help whenever needed. Accommodation: Hotel in Yerevan Meals: Lunch box, dinner Cycling distance: 60km
Day 3
Exploring the Land of Water / 70km
Our third day of biking starts from a small village, hidden among mountains, Hartavan, where we are transferred by car from Yerevan. The village is located at a high altitude of 1800m above sea level, thereby becoming a great source of fresh air, water, and healthy food. The second stop point of Bjni welcomes us to have lunch carried with us in lunchboxes, try mineral freshwater, and visit an old castle. Just for your information, Armenia is considered the land of water, while Bjni is one of its spa resorts with fresh water and natural resorts. However, we cannot wait too long, since the blue-eyed queen is waiting for us! The 70km biking trail ends in Sevan, where our car will transfer us to the town of Martuni, where our hostess waits for us overnight. Accommodation: Hotel in Martuni Meals: Lunch box, dinner Cycling distance: 70km
Day 4
Visit Armenian Blue Eyed Beauty
It is time for us to challenge ourselves with much longer distances, reaching up to 100km a day. The cycling starts from the town Martuni, where we have stayed, and goes around the biggest part of Lake Sevan. The latter fills our trail with gorgeous landscapes and unforgettable views over the blue-eyed queen. The end of the trail is at the village of Artanish, near Lake Sevan. For your information, the land is recognized as the Prime Butterfly Area, with lots of species of butterflies and a famous bird-watching site in Armenia. The length of the trail is 98km, providing the highest peak of the whole tour program - 2100m above sea level. We will stay in Artanisih overnight. Accommodation: Hotel in Artanish Meals: Breakfast, Lunch box, Dinner Cycling distance: 98km
Day 5
Heading to the Armenian Switzerland / 70km
Our fresh breakfast with a view over the lake will start yet another interesting day with 70km of length in the pocket. We need to say ciao the Queen Lake and start to climb the mountain on our bikes. The first stop of the day is Chambarak - a municipal town in the same province with an 11th-century church, and lots of Khachkars - Armenian traditional cross-stones, unique only to the Armenian culture. Following the beautiful endless horizon, we end our day in Gosh Village. We will visit Goshavank Monastery by car. As mentioned above, we will also explore Armenia, so Goshavank could not be left off the list! It is a 13th-century monastery, that keeps some of the best examples of Armenian Khachkars. No better place to have an overnight than the city of Dilijan - another tourist center of Armenia! Accommodation: Hotel in Dilijan Meals: Breakfast, Lunch box, Dinner Cycling distance: 70km
Day 6
Back to the Capital / 45km
On the last day of the program, we definitely need to return back to the capital. Our trail with its changing terrain and memorable views over the horizon is shorter than the previous trails, with just 45km length. The trail ends in the capital Yerevan, where we will get ready to leave the country. Accommodation: Hotel in Yerevan Meals: Breakfast, Lunch box, Dinner Cycling distance: 45km
Day 7
