Bordeaux TDF Spectating Tour 2023
Bordeaux TDF Spectating Tour 2023. The 2023 Tour de France peloton will arrive in the Nouvelle- Aquitaine region of France on Friday 7th July 2023 following the Grand Depart in Bilbao, and stages in the Basque country and the French Pyrenees. This area will host 2 stages and you will see them both. Sports Tours International is an official Premium Tour Operator of the TDF. The spectator tour of these 2023 stages gets you close to the action. We include transport from our centrally located hotel in Bordeaux. You will also get a front seat of the action as official Tour VIP access and hospitality are included.
The Tour de France begins on Saturday 1st July 2023. The first three stages take place in Bilbao and the Basque country, followed by stages in the French Pyrenees.
The race then heads to Bordeaux in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. Stage Seven takes the Tour away from the Pyrenees to Bordeaux with a start in Mont-de-Marsan, the adopted hometown of 1973 Tour winner Luis Ocana. Bordeaux hasn’t hosted a Tour stage finish since Mark Cavendish won in 2010. The pan-flat profile will surely offer him and others a chance at another sprint victory.
Stage Eight is a 208km ride from Libourne to Limoges in a transition stage towards the Massif Central. This will be another opportunity for the sprinters before the mountains return on Stage Nine and the finish on the Puy de Dome. This may however suit the more explosive finishers with a short but difficult climb to the finish.
