The Tour de France 2019 edition will have three stages and amazing climbs. The climbs are Val Thorens, Col du Galibier, Cormet de Roselend and Col d’Iseran. The final stages are Tignes and Valloire and the last stage Alberville to Val Thorens. Day 1
Check in
Monday 22 July, 2019 : Arrival day. The tour starts today so you can either make your way to your chalets the Peak and the Marquise in Sainte Foy en Tarentaise near Bourg Saint Maurice. Airport arrival transfers from Geneva airport at 10.00 and 16.00.This evening we will be on hand to assist you with putting your bikes together if you are travelling with your bike. We will also have your rental bike ready if you have chosen this option.In the vening briefing and bike fitting.
Day 2
First cycling day
Tuesday 23 July, 2019. This is the first day cycling in the area and you have some tough days coming up this week, you will provide a guided ride today locally into the Tarentaise valley. You provide minibus support, food and drink during the rides plus the bike guide will ride with you and plan the day. You will keep it relatively short but if you feel at the end of the day that you want to do it a bit more, you can ride from Bourg st Maurice back up to the chalet in Sainte Foy for an additional 15km steady climb.
Day 3
Cormet de Roselend day
Wednesday 24 July, 2019. You will transfer over to Albertville and you will ride stage 11 of the 2018 Tour de France from Albertville to La Rosière over the Cormet de Roselend which will feature again in the 2019 Tour de France later in the week. This is a is 108km ride. Transport back to Sainte Foy after La Rosiere.
Day 4
Embrun to Valloire
Thursday 25 July, 2019. Today the Tour de France comes closer to us as the finish of today’s stage is in Valloire after scaling the Col du Galibier from Embrun. There will be a fully supported ride today to Valloire to watch the finish. In the morning you will be taken to Moutiers from where you have a short warm up ride before you tackle the Col de La Madeleine which brings you into the Maurienne Valley. Then you will ride the fairly flat valley road to the top of the valley and you will tackle the Col du Galibier which takes us right up to Valloire. The riders of the 2019 Tour de France will finish in Valloire but from the other side today. After the finish transport back to Sainte Foy where you enjoy the chalet's facilities and evening meal this evening.
Day 5
Tignes finish
Friday 26 July, 2019. The next Alpine stage will start from the town of Saint Jean de Maurienne in the Maurienne valley and finish in Tignes, a popular French ski resort at the foot of the Col de L’Iseran just a few kilometres away from Sainte Foy. The riders of the Tour de France will climb the Col d’Iseran from the valley which comes into Val d’Isere before the finish in Tignes. Your itinerary
  • Cyclists can join a guided ride to Tignes today. You will have a great treat in store with access to the course for a 'cross the finish line experience'. You are in a great place in Sainte Foy to ride to Tignes.

  • Cycle the final portion of the stage along the same route as the pros just hours later
  • Crossing the finish line on your bike
  • A photo on the top step of the official podium
  • A seat on the final grandstand to watch the pros arrive (no food included)
  • Return transfer back to the hotel after the stage.
Day 6
Relais Etape Hospitality
For both riders and spectators you offer the ‘Relais Etape’ experience. Enjoy a sit down lunch, a comfortable setting with a large screen to watch today’s deciding stage. The ‘Relais Etape’ is an area on the course of a Tour de France stage which takes the form of a small village in a prime position along the route, just a few kilometres from the finish line. You will accommodate a ride to this area for those who are cycling and spectators will be taken directly to the ‘Relais Etape’ to enjoy the day. This inspiring package mirrors the excitement of the race and includes :

Day 7
Departure day
As the riders of the 2019 Tour de France get ready for the final processional stage into Paris on the Champs Elysees, it is time to go home. There will be 2 airport transfers to Geneva airport, arriving in Geneva at 09.00 and 14.00. The journey takes about 2.5hrs so please ensure that your flight times are in line with this.


  • The Airport of Geneva is a very important International Airport and its 2h and 15min by car from Sainte Foy. There are regular flights; for example to and from Europe.


  • When you don’t want to go with the ride to Sainte Foy you can take the train. There are regular fares between Geneva and Albertville Railway station. And from here you will take the bus to Sainte Foy.
