Day 1
Friday April 18 Check in
Please make your own way to Valkenburg. Around 18.00 the bike mechanic will deliver the bikes and will help you with the bike fitting. The evening is free for you to eat out.
Day 2
Saturday April 19 Amstel Gold Cyclo
Early breakfast at the VIP pavilion in Valkenburg. Here there’s secure bike parking and changing facilities.
  • Start times: 06.30 – 09.00: Start 240km (orange arrows)
  • 06.30 – 09.00: Start 200km (pink arrows)
  • 07.00 – 11.00: Start 150km (red arrows)
  • 07.00 – 11.00: Start 125km (yellow arrows)
  • 07.00 – 11.00: Start 100km (blue arrows)
  • 08.00 – 11.00: Start 65km (black arrows)
NOTE: If you choose to buy an entry you will automatically enter for the 150km distance, as we believe that this allows riders to get the most out of their Amstel Gold experience. Anticipated programme Saturday 19 April 14:00-18:00 Pastabuffet in private area at the finish. The evening is free for you to eat out.
Day 3
Sunday April 20 Amstel Gold Race
After breakfast at the hotel, you are free to make your own arrangements to enjoy the Pro Race action. The Amstel Gold Race runs a total of 263km. There are 33 climbs on the route which together make up over 4000m of climbing. The Winner of the last edition was Mathieu van der Poel. After watching the start in Maastricht during the race, you will stay in Valkenburg to watch the riders come past and enjoy the atmosphere. You will find various bars, restaurants, and promotional stands in Valkenburg, and of course plenty of Amstel beer.   • The Airport’s train stations are located below Zaventem’s International Airport and Schiphol International Airport.
  • Trains from Schiphol International Airport to Maastricht Railway station are running every half an hour and the train ride takes two and a half hours. The Thalys (fast train between Paris and Amsterdam) has frequent fares, at least every half an hour between Paris Gare du Nord – Lille – Brussels Midi- Antwerp- Rotterdam – Amsterdam. The Eurostar (train which connects Great Britain to Continental Europe) from/ to London has up to 9 fares per day.
